Interested in Volunteering? Here are a few organizations to explore

Each day this month on the Facebook page, we shared an organization that we think you should know about. If your schedule permits, you can find one or more support with your time, talent, or treasure. It could look like you sharing their organization with others, writing them a check or donating supplies, contributing to them on Give Nola Day, volunteering your time with them, or becoming a board member. There are many ways to contribute. Ask them for their current biggest need! Weekly, we'll add a post with a week of recommendations.

Watch the videos and visit the websites of the organizations below to learn more about them.

Safe Harbor is a non-profit, non-government agency in St. Tammany Parish serving survivors and their minor children who are victims of domestic abuse. We can provide a safe place to stay and a variety of critical support services ranging from crisis intervention, legal advocacy, playgroups, emotional support, and community-based referrals for kids.

Give NOLA Day returns on May 3, 2022!

Make a difference by joining us for 24 hours of giving to benefit our regional nonprofits. Give NOLA Day is a 24-hour event hosted by the Greater New Orleans Foundation. Each of the organizations above are participating nonprofits registered with Give NOLA Day.

Consider supporting one or several of these organizations. One way to support multiple entities is to save money regularly between now and Give NOLA Day. Once you know how much you have to donate, select groups and determine how you will divide your savings.

You can also gather a small group of friends and family members and encourage each person to save for the same time period and donate. Do not forget to inquire about matching gifts from your employer.
