Do you have an interest in writing?

Have you ever heard of NaNoWriMo? It's short for National Novel Writing Month, and it's been around since 1999. The challenge is to write 50,000 words of a novel in 30 days. Every year, on November 1st, hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world start writing to complete a first draft by the end of the month. They come from all walks of life - teachers, mechanics, stay-at-home parents - and leave as novelists.

I've been interested in participating for years, but for one reason or another, I've never made it happen. However, I have a few writing projects that I'm working on right now, so I'm taking advantage of this month to really focus on them.

If you're interested in writing too, I invite you to join me. If you know me, you know I believe in structured flexibility. So, I’m creating the space to write- whatever you want. Whether you're working on a novel, a children's book, a cookbook, a blog, or a podcast, I'm here to support you. If you can't make it to the meeting time I've selected, don't worry. Just pick a time that works for you and invite a few friends to join you.

So, if you're ready to take on the challenge, visit the NaNoWriMo website and sign up. If you want to join me from 7-8 a.m. for a virtual writing session, visit my website to sign up. We’ll have a group chat to share successes and struggles and support each other. We'll check in for the first 5 minutes, share our intentions, and then write. At the end of the session, we'll check in again for a quick wrap-up. Accountability is key to creating good writing habits, and I'm happy to help in any way I can.
