Reading Challenge

Let me begin by saying only you can to determine your capacity. Completing this list would be a lofty goal for most parents. If it feels overwhelming, decide on a realistic number for you and enjoy! If it's in line with your intended reading goals, fantastic. Suppose it falls short, complete multiple challenges. This challenge includes books read between Memorial Day and Labor Day, which is slightly more than three months. Personally, I primarily listen to audiobooks because that fits into my current phase of life. I can list on my morning walk,

in the car, or while cleaning. Some people have a hard time listening to audiobooks- the narrator matters! Try books narrated by the author, especially if you like them. In addition to being knowledgeable and passionate about the content, they don't mispronounce words or read the information out of context. Ali Wong, Bryan Stevenson, Malcolm Gladwell are a few that I recommend for those reasons. There are also books read by professional narrators who draw you in; for me, those titles included Such a Fun Age and Where the Crawdads Sing. Most platforms allow you to listen to a sample of the audiobook to see how it feels. There are some books where I have done both simultaneously. If there are a lot of tables or charts, it's helpful to be able to refer to the book. I created two lists, one with categories for those who know to select their own titles and one with books that I've read or am currently reading. I think I'm in the middle of 6 books. I view it like television shows. The same way we watch different shows on different days for different moods, I read or listen to books the same way. Enjoy!
