Rockin the School Gem Show
The annual Gem and Mineral Society of Louisiana gem show is having a school day with various presentations. Kids 12 and under free, Adults $6. One price for all-day admission. Pay on site.

About the event
Friday is “Rockin the School” day, but the show runs Friday through Sunday.
On Friday, our admission fee is waived!!! Those who sign up by October 9th will be entered
into a raffle to win a special prize at the show!
Presentations run as follows on Friday:
Fossils: 11am, 1pm, and 3pm
Geode Formation: 12pm, 2pm, 4pm
LSU Geological Survey Department: Coastal conservation- 10:30am 12:30pm 2:30pm
Fluorescent Minerals- Rocks that glow!: 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm
*Note: all presenters will be stationed at their respective booths throughout the day to answer any questions that may come about during your visit to the show. If you cannot make a specification presentation they would be more than willing to go over their exhibits for you.
