Park day

Brechtel Park is a wonderful place to enjoy nature in our heavily urbanized environment. The lagoon system as well as the diversity of trees and vegetation have made this nature preserve a premier bird watching location along the Mississippi Flyway. Additional casual recreational opportunities range from sitting on park benches along the lagoon edge and wildlife photography, to hiking along a variety of trails, enjoying picnics to tables scattered throughout the park, playground fund for the kids, exploring Scout Island and day-camping by the Scouting community, or climbing on grassed mounds. Whatever you enjoy, here’s a wonderful opportunity to expe this beautiful park and catch up with old friends or make new ones.
